BIGGS RECREATIONAL RESERVE

Public BBQ

The Golden Hole area is an enchanting destination, perfect for relaxation, exploration, or simply enjoying the gorgeous scenery. The park offers ample parking, a large grassed area, and clean public toilets. Picnic enthusiasts will appreciate the undercover tables in a quiet, serene setting. Despite the beauty of the clear water creek, guests should heed the crocodile warnings and refrain from swimming. For the adventurous, several walking paths lead to stunning views, although some are quite challenging and may require preparation. The area's transformation over the years is notable, with now easy, open access and close parking. Be aware that this increasing popularity has also led to more crocodile sightings. Camping is an option, with a clean campground available, although be prepared to walk your tent in. Despite its tranquil beauty, the presence of insects like March flies can sometimes be a nuisance.
